The University of Richmond Student-Athlete Leadershp Committee (SALC) is a group of student-athletes committed to providing information regarding the student-athlete experience.
SALC was established to assist in the communication process between student-athletes and the University's athleteic administration. SALC helps members develop leadership skills, while affording them the opportunity to exchange ideas among other student-athletes of differing sports.
SALC is committed to offering student-athletes the opportunity to better engage themselves in the local commuity as well as their schools current sector. Student-athletes should strive to be "role models" in their community. Commitee members are expected to represent the viewpoint of all the student-athletes and to serve as a communications link between the conference and its athletes.
This committee has been esembled to provide information on the student-athlete experience and to offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect all NCAA student-athletes' lives. SALC strives to enhance the image of student-athletes both on campus as well as in their local community.
The Student-Athlete Leadership Committee serves as the liason between the student-athletes, athletic administration, and the University faculty.
