Why Kappa Kappa Gamma?

Kappa Is Fun

  • Kappa has many socials a semester - Sapphire Ball, Kappa Krush, Kappa Kaddyshack, Valentine's Day Social and many more…
  • KKG also organizes informal events like ice cream parties, t-shirt making, roller skating, Bible study, Ukrops outings… the list goes on and on.
  • We do a lot of stuff! We participate in all intramural sports (six year champions), have unity dinners, host Kappa Klassic and other philanthropic events… and, in the process, we establish lifelong friendships.

    Kappas Are Leaders

  • Kappa Kappa Gamma is self-governed organization with many leadership roles. Kappa focuses on growing leaders in a safe and supportive environment, and these leadership positions give many sisters a newfound confidence in their abilities.
  • Most sisters hold at least one office in Kappa before they graduate.

    Kappas are Philanthropists

  • Kappa's serve the community through charity work all year long both through chapter philanthropies and individual effort.
  • Kappa has an annual philanthropy - Kappa Klassic - which raises money for YWCA Women's Advocacy Program and the Rose McGill Fund.
  • Kappa participates in smaller charities throughout the year such as "Kappa Kisses."
  • Kappas participate in campus-led charity events, such as Trick-or-Treat Street and Community Service Day.
  • Sisters also participate in other Greek organizations' charity events, such a Pi Beta Phi's Lip Sync Contest and Sigma Chi's Derby Days.
  • Kappa's are involved in over 50 different campus organizations - we make sure our attendance policy supports a balanced life full of college activities.

    Kappa Fosters Lifelong Friendships

  • KKG provides an opportunity to meet people who are Greek and non-Greek, of all majors, ages, and interests.
  • The KKG experience continues long after you graduate. There are Kappa's in all parts of the world, offering a network of connections and involvement. There are more than 350 alumnae associations worldwide

    Kappa Believes in Scholarship

  • KKG recognizes that the reason you are at University of Richmond is to learn and excel scholastically.
  • Kappa has the "Teacher of the Week" at every meeting, in which a teacher who has made a difference is selected and given a gift certificate. This fosters invaluable teacher/student relationships.
  • Kappa has "Kappa Kram" sessions for new members to study together.

    WE LOVE KAPPA!!
