large group is the other big part about intervaristy here at the university of richmond. but what is it? think of it as the intervarsity community's (and whoever else wants to come) weekly meeting to worship and hear about the Lord. large group's are heald once a week in a designated meeting place....and all are welcome.what do we do...
a typical large group consists of worship music, followed by a speaker of some sort, then an after large group activity.
when/where do we meet...
tyler hanes commons room 313. 8:30pm it usually goes to around 10 o'clock.
what if it's my first time?...
if you're scared like most of us were the first time we went to
uriv, do the following. when you walk in thc313, walk straight to the
other end of the room. you'll see people that'll welcome you and give
you a nametag. say hi to them (they're ridicously nice, we promise.)
then tell them you're new and they'll show you the ropes. oh, and
introduce yourself to some people. anyone of us are more than up for a
conversation.
if you're still scared to go it alone, find someone you know either by
looking on the website, or e-mailing someone on the website and meeting
up with them. we'd be more than happy to escort you into the wonderful
world of large group.
