
The W. Tyler Haynes Commons is named after one of our most distinguished brothers. Brother Haynes served the chapter and Phi Gamma Delta with distinction for over 60 years after his graduation.



Brother Bob Jepson has made many major contributions to the University community. Jepson Hall, the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, the Jepson Theater, and the Jepson Alumni Center stand as a testament to the dedication this great Phi Gam has to his alma mater.

Whitehurst Pavillion, home to the Richmond College Deanery and Campus Housing Department is named in honor of J.D. Whitehurst, a distinguished Rho Chi Phi Gam.

Douglas S. Freeman is best known for his writings on Confederate General Robert E. Lee. He was a Brother of Phi Gamma Delta during the early years of the chapter's existence. Freeman Hall, a men's residence hall is named in his honor.

Several generations of the Ryland family are Phi Gams. Ryland Hall, on the academic quad is named in honor of two members of this distinguished family.

Pitt Field, home of Spiders Baseball, is named in honor of a Rho Chi Phi Gam.

The Fred Hardy Track and Field Complex, home of Spiders Track & Field, is named in honor of a Phi Gam brother who served for many years as the University's director of athletics.
