Liturgy and Music: Students serve as Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers as well as vocalists and musicians for our Mass every Sunday evening. Training is provided for all ministries.
Outreach: As Catholic students, we are dedicated to serving our community. Some programs we have offered during the year include: St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Children's Hospital at MCV (Medical College of Virginia), Hull Street Ministry (a soup kitchen), Sacred Heart Center (mentoring youth), and CARITAS (winter cots program for the homeless). Join us for a great opportunity to help others and make a difference in the community.
Education & Spirituality: Catholic Campus Ministry sponsors many opportunities for growth in our faith. We offer educational programs on topics of interest to students. We also provide opportunities for Scripture study and sharing and Rosary devotions. Students meet weekly to discuss the liturgical readings for the Sunday Masses. We have a series of Twilight Retreats throughout the year as well as the Encounter with Christ Diocesan retreat programs with other Virginia colleges and universities. There is something for everyone.
Hospitality and Fellowship: Come join the fun! We have many social activities throughout the year. Events can include a beach trip, bowling, ice-skating, and more. We also organize monthly delicious home-cooked Sunday evening dinners following mass. We are looking forward to adding a weekly Thursday night fellowship group. Join us and bring your ideas.
