University of Richmond Micah Initiative

    The UR Buddies Program is designed for those students who have little time on their hands to volunteer with kids but wish to do so. We organize trips once a month in which U of R students and students from the East-End get a chance to interact, play, and talk while visiting some of Richmond's most enjoyable attractions. These trips take place on a Saturday and there is no obligation to attend.

How does it work?

    All that you need to do is this: Write your name, UR Mail box #, and you e-mail address on an index card or piece of paper. Place that, along with your $10.00 due into an envelope and put it into the Micah box in the mail room at Student Activities.

    You will be automatically placed on the UR Buddies e-mail list. A list of events for the year will be mailed to you after your have signed up. Two weeks before a scheduled event, you will be notified of that event and asked to RSVP. You must RSVP so that we can make the appropriate amount of lunches and buy the right amount of tickets.

    That's it. We will then meet on the event day and go from there. Its that simple!
