                                                         THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE PROJECT

The American Experience Program is geared at designing special opportunities and projects for the children at Whitcomb Court Elementary School. The process is simple. Get a group together of anywhere between 3-15 people who are interested in doing a special program geared towards the following topics:

American History, Literature (simplified), Art, Music - 4th Grade

Virginia History, Literature, Art, Music - 3rd Grade

Once you have an idea for a special program please fill out the application form here. (click here)

After completing the form please print out three copies and turn it into the Micah Initiative box located behind the Student Activities desk in Tyler Haynes Commons.

We will review the application with the school and determine whether or not this idea will be beneficial to the school. We will also determine when, where, and how much the program will cost. The Micah Initiative will award monetary funds up to but not exceeding $100.00 in order to present your project or presentation.

NOTE: These events should only be one time only programs. The same group may only do one program in the   academic year.

For ideas please see the American Studies homepage at http://american-studies.richmond.edu/ .
